Bird Watching
We have been enjoying many different birds this spring. A few of them visit for a day or two and then are gone, but a few have stayed. Hoping that as Audrey improves her gardens, we invite a larger variety of birds into our yard.
Heart
Megan and I went to the park today. It is supposed to frost tonight, and we were hoping to take some beautiful pictures of spring flowers. It was too windy, but we still enjoyed looking.
I do not know what these are. They were under a beautiful tree covered in blossoms; these had fallen to the ground and we collected them to play with at home.
Tulips
We went to visit my parents today. On the way home we stopped at a park and discovered a tulip garden. It was full of many types of tulips and I would have happily spent a lot more time there appreciating their variety and cheerfulness.
Coloring with Cousins
We were sent a note with these adorable dinosaurs from the kids’ cousins. I thought they were super cute and wanted to share them.
Thank you Jonah for the orange dinosaur, Joash for the green one, and Mikaya for the colorful one. They are all beautiful and made us smile.
Andrea and Ducks
We took the kids to the Manitou islands when they were little. We went hiking and slept in a tent by the water. The kid played in the sand and water as often as they could!
I found a picture of Andrea heading back to the tent and decided to play with an idea of adding something following her. She wanted ducklings.
Enjoy the “before” and the “after” shots!
Spring Tulips
Once upon a time, there was a little princess who loved flowers….
Spring Flowers 2020
I enjoy looking for spring flowers every year. I have a few favorites that I would love to put in my yard, like pink or purple Hepatica, Starflowers, Glory of the Snow, or bleeding hearts (which come out later). But there is a lot of work to be done before they will grow well in our garden.

“Popcorn Snow”
“If all the snowflakes were butter popped popcorn oh, what a snow that would be!!”

“Bloodroot in Snow”
We discovered this Bloodroot at the park today. It really is April!
