Releasing Butterflies
Audrey and Megan had fun releasing eight Monarchs this evening. We still have some chrysalises and a few caterpillars, but this year’s Monarch season is almost finished for Audrey.

This morning when I got up, I discovered Allan had gone out already and brought home two dozen roses in my favorite colors; deep pink and orange with pink trim. They are so pretty and I feel so spoiled!

Sunset Hike
Allan and I enjoyed a sunset hike one evening. We climbed a path the boys had discovered and climbed earlier.
It was nice being able to spend a little quiet time alone, talking and just being together.
Reunion
We enjoyed being in Colorado for two weeks. Part of the time was at a family reunion, celebrating Grandma Green’s 90th birthday. I do not have all the pictures done, but have a few ready to share finally!
Summer Night Fun
After putting the children to bed, we realized that there were a lot of fireflies out. I told everyone they could get out of bed so they could go catch as many as they could.
They would have loved to be outside longer, but the mosquitoes were enjoying their unexpected treats. The kids took their “summer lights” into their rooms for the night and headed to bed just before the rain came.

I am not sure what kind of bird this is, but it enjoyed playing hide and seek for a few minutes with Adrian and me.
