Today’s Smile- The Butcher

I realize that some people will think this is absolutely disgusting! But I loved the creativity of this picture.

Mark loves pomegranates. I asked him to cut up the last one we had for lunch. As he was cutting it up, you could tell he was thinking about something. When he was finished, he drew this picture. Since I was busy getting lunch ready, I did not see what he was doing until I found the card a little later.

Megan Meets Santa

We have taught the kids that there is no such thing as Santa. But every year, if we see a Santa, we like to visit with him. We try to find nice looking ones –no mall Santa’s for us!

This year we took the kids to see Santa after getting our Christmas tree and taking a horse drawn hay ride.

My favorite thing about visiting Santa is what the kids ask for. This Santa almost had to beg the kids for “one thing”. They could not think of anything they wanted to ask him for. Finally they came up with some special requests.

Mark asked for snow. Andrea asked for snow. When Santa asked about her what toy, she thought hard before answering doll clothes. Audrey asked for a good Jesus’ birthday. Adrian asked for Christmas lights (he loves to drive around and look for them). Megan asked to go back to Momma.

I hope that the simple things bring you great joy this year!

See Us Grow

Here is the newest Nutcracker picture and one from 2007.  If you want to compare them to last years, look here. A little bonus, the sweater that Adrian is wearing (at 4 1/2) is the same sweater Mark is wearing in  2005 just after turning 7.

It has been a few years, but we are all excited to see the Nutcracker Ballet again this year.  We are hoping for nice weather on Friday morning for the performance.

We were surprised to find that Audrey grew the most this year, about 3.5 inches!  Mark said Megan won. She grew 23 inches!

New Discovery

After much searching and failed attempts the last few days, Megan discovered her hands! Her discovery was made around midnight last night.  Now, if she could discover that going to bed before 1:00 a.m. is excellent, we would have one perfect baby!
