Essie and Jonathan

Yesterday, Jonathan came over to visit. The kids had fun rolling a ball for him to chase and playing silly little games with him. He moved a lot and played hard!

We knew he was tired, but he would not stop until his Momma came to get him.  She left the room for a minute and he burst into tears.  Before too long he was snuggled up to Essie and sound asleep!

Of course, I enjoyed the chance to photograph an adorable little boy!

Sweet Surprise

With the crazy weather this year, we were not sure if we would get enough sap from our trees to boil down for this year’s syrup.  However, a friend offered us what he did not need. We were able to make enough syrup from our trees and, with what he shared, we had enough to make a little maple sugar also!

Home made Nutella

While grocery shopping, I discovered nuts on sale for $.99 a pound. I bought a few bags of almonds and hazelnuts for us to enjoy. Just for fun, we decided to make home made Nutella.  It was super easy, once the nuts were cracked, and better than store bought!

When I went shopping a week later, I bought the remaining two bags of hazelnuts. Maybe this batch will be shared a little better with the whole family.

Harvey

We were asked if we would please help Daddy’s band. They are playing “What’s Up at the Symphony”, and wanted a Bugs Bunny in a few of the concerts. However, they got “Harvey” instead.
Today the kids went to a retirement home and helped make people smile. They enjoyed the chance to be silly and loved interacting with some of the residents.
