Camp

This morning, all of the kids were up by 5:15.  The three oldest ones were heading up to Lake Ann for a week of camp! Lake Ann is a camp that teaches the Bible and provides many fun activities.

This will be Audrey’s first time at camp. Andrea loved it last year and is so excited about being able to go again.  Mark has been to a few camps, but I think he likes Lake Ann the best.

This will be the first time that they are taken to camp and then “dropped off”.  Allan is going to be helping on a project, and then he is coming home.

Please pray for the kids this week!  I am praying that they are open to what they hear and that they choose to grow because of something they learned.

Morning at the Park

The kids and I have been trying to take walks while the weather is cool.  Yesterday, I asked Allan to drop us off so we could take a walk someplace different.

After rolling down a hill, and running around a track, we crossed a foot bridge to play for awhile at the middle school playground.  It is a small playground and the older kids are almost too tall for everything, but we had a lot of fun.

Heading home, we threw sticks in the water and played “Pooh Sticks” awhile.  Then the kids explored under the bridge and enjoyed the water.   We looked for caterpillars–did not find any 🙁 –and managed to walk the two plus miles with stops, in just under 50 minutes.  It was a nice morning!

Day at the Beach

Yesterday, we spent the day at the Lake.  Megan started out apprehensive of the water, but ending up really loving it. The kids were in the water most of the day.  We only stopped for lunch and a break from the sun.

It was a great way to celebrate!

The Hug

Today’s guest writer is Megan.

I love my Daddy, he is the best Daddy in the whole world! He loves to play with me and gives me lots of hugs.  His face tickles me at night.  He makes me laugh.  I am glad for my daddy.  I love you Daddy!

Apron

For our ninth anniversary, I made this apron for Audrey using leftover wedding material.  She wore it for a long time.

Yesterday, Megan got to wear it for the first time. Andrea told me that she remembered when Audrey wore it, but she can’t remember the matching one she wore.  I will have to look for pictures 🙂
