Trick or Treat Main Street

The kids and I have gone trick or treating down Main Street in Goshen most every Halloween for the last five or so years.

Today we met Lilly and Beth with David and Rachel there.Â It was fun talking to them and letting the kids have time together.

Megan went “begging for candy” for the first time this year too.Â It was the kid’s idea to give her a bag and see who would fill it.Â Surprise! People did give a newborn baby candy! Lilly was carrying her when someone gave her some Starbursts and Lilly said that “she prefers Skittles.”Â The candy was changed to Skittles! 🙂 My favorite treat for her was when one man saw her and commented “muy bonita”.Â I agree, she is very pretty.

We had a lot of fun!

Hayride and Bonfire

We decided to try the Oxbow Halloween Hayride and bonfire this year. We were told it was a non scary, family, evening of fall fun. Most of it was. We enjoyed the hayride, especially Adrian. The bonfire was crowded, but the caramel apples were very good! It was a nice evening with family.

Gathering at Five Medals

Yesterday we went to the Gathering at Five Medals, a reenactment about Midwest history from the 1660s to the early 1800s. It was a beautiful fall day to be outside and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Not for the Squeamish

We found this Walking Stick while on our walk at Oxbow today. Audrey enjoyed playing with it. She did not want to let it go when it was time to leave. Adrian only enjoyed playing with it as long as Audrey caught it before it got near his face.

Fall Fun

What a beautiful fall day! We went to Oxbow for Science Class.Â It was chilly, but we had fun looking for animals and tracks.Â After lunch and some reading time, the kids went outside and raked a huge leaf pile to play in. As I took the leaf pile picture, the kids yelled, “Hi Opa and Oma!”
