Last night before heading to bed, Megan prayed for snow. When we got up this morning, I discovered we had two or three inches of perfect packing snow! When Megan woke up and discovered the snow, her eyes got huge!
We don’t usually get packing snow, so it was a wonderful treat. We took a “two hour delay” and shoveled and then build snow forts, snowmen and snow animals.
I am glad that we delayed school, a lot of snow has melted and we are getting a snow rain mix. We would have lost the chance to enjoy Megan’s answered prayer.
It was such a beautiful day, that I decided a walk sounded nice. We waved at all the buses going to pick up children after school. We counted horses and talked about our favorite puppies on the street.
And, we enjoyed Megan falling asleep in the stroller on the way back 🙂
Most of the family is sick today. While they took needed naps, I did some chores and then took a few minutes to play with a picture that I found yesterday. I am not sure where it is from 🙁 , but it if from one of our walks in the Badlands.
I found this picture of just turned four Audrey recently. When she was little, she almost always had her thumb in her mouth and a band-aid somewhere. It was rare that she wasn’t smiling, so she must have been very tired when I took this picture.
When Megan was little, I took a picture of her sleeping on this blue background. When Mark brought up this blue plaid shirt he loves Megan to wear, I knew I wanted to repeat the “Study in Blue“.
Her shirt is the matching one from two years ago (we had bought matching ones for Mark and Andrea when they were tiny). I had thought to change her into overalls, but I like the jeans. She still sleeps like a toddler, but that is changing too.
I am especially proud of these pictures. I have been attempting to use M (manual) on my camera and these are the first pictures that I did using light from the window and all the settings set manually without any help.
