I am thankful for children who are willing to work hard. I have watched each of them take on new responsibilities when needed.
Since Mark has started working full time, the girls are mowing the lawn so he can spend his afternoons studying and still have time to help with the alpacas. It is more work for them, but they seem to enjoy it.
After a very busy morning, Megan thought I needed a break. So she planned a wonderful tea party for me. She prepared cold peppermint tea, sliced bananas, apples and strawberries and M&M’s. She set the table all by herself.
I enjoyed being able to relax with a special tea prepared by my little princess.
While out and about, the kids and I discovered our first Seward Johnson sculpture. We were fascinated by how realistic it looked. Mark mentioned seeing more while driving, so we decided to see how many we could find. When we discovered one, the kids looked for fun details on the statues, such as one had an untied shoe.
We hope to explore more this summer and try to find all of them. We saw more but it started to rain and everyone was getting cold so we decided to wait for another day to discover them. It was a silly, but fun afternoon!
